#WCW: Karrueche Tran 👯

Today my #WCW goes to my second best bae, Karrueche Tran.

If you know me personally, you are probably thinking “Aren’t you a Rihanna fan? One cannot love the enemy too”, but listen Linda, nobody can deny how beautiful this lady is and one just simply has to give credit where it’s due.

Born on  17 May 1988, Karrueche was raised in Los Angeles, California. Many might not know this but her mother is Vietnamese and her father is Jamaican. This explains her beauty, right?

Her full name is Karrueche Tientrese Tran. She’s an American actress and model.

Karrueche Tran is well-known for dating former boyfriend, Chris brown. But did you know that Karrueche’s career began in the fashion industry as a personal shopper? She then moved on to work in retail and then the stylist lifestyle caught her eye and she worked as a freelance stylist in Hollywood. In an interview, Karrueche says this is how she met Brown.

Lately, Karrueche has been making name for herself with her acting. She has starred in the movie 3-Headed Shark Attack alongside actor, Danny Trejo. She also scored the lead role in a web series called Vanity.

Karrueche also has her Youtube channel where she does make-up tutorials. And I am sure we all would defs want her beauty tricks and secrets! Yessss Gurl!

Karrueche has been put in the spotlight a lot due to all the drama with Chris, Rihanna and Drake, but listen that don’t stop lil’ mama from getting money honey! Karrueche also has her own makeup collection called KAE POP!

I’ve grown to adore this beautiful being after seeing her on the interview she had with Iyanla when the whole ‘Chris brown is a dad’ drama brokeout. It showed us a softer, real side to her.

She’s geniune.

She laughs. A lot.

She’s about her own business.

And maybe letting go of Chris was the best thing she could have done in order to focus on herself.

Whatever it is, I am kinda, a little bit obsessed with Karrueche Tran.

And that’s why she is not just my #WCW but she is in fact my #WCE ❤️🔥

Omarion and Apryl Jones welcomes their daughter!

“Now you know why I’m in such a good mood it’s because I had my daughter this morning,” these were the words of proud Dad, Omarion.

This is the singer’s second child with girlfriend, Apryl Jones.

The singer shared the news on Snapchat with fans and ended it off with the biggest smile on his face. Probably the biggest smile Omarion has ever given the world. The pair welcomed their daughter early Monday morning and said it was a home birth. Back in 2014, when the couple had their son, Megaa, Apryl gave birth at home as well. This means no drugs. Yoh!

In a tribute to his lady, Omarion thanks Apryl for having an ”un medicated birth” with both their kid. He goes on to say “Just like my mom had me. I love you. Thank you for having my legacy. I’ll forever belong to you & you will forever be tied to me.”

Coongratulations Apryl and Omarion!

EricTheOne: Young Rap Artist making waves in Cape Town

Born and raised here in the Mother city EricTheOne ,better known
as Eric Roberts, is slowly but surely making local rappers re-evaluate their game plan when it comes the rap scene.
Born in Mitchell’s Plain, schooled in the southern suburbs and then moving back to Mitchell’s Plain after he finished school, Eric has had a passion for rap since he was little. He started developing an interest in music when he was just 9 years old. Started off playing the drums and then went on to playing a bit of guitar. When he reached the age of 10, he listened to Eminem for the first time and he was hooked ever since. Side note: Now one would think “What the …. is a ten year old doing listening to Eminem?” He started imitating Eminem a lot. At the age of 14, was where it all began when he put pen to paper and started writing his own song. He recorded his first song in 2011, but this only reached the people that were at the same school that he attended, which was South Peninsula High School. He was then encouraged by his friends to take his talent further and he took their advice. He started taking part in many different shows and started writing and making more music. Then after he matriculated, he went to live in Florida and his music took a back seat for a year.
2015 was then a year that Eric decided that he needs to get back into the music scene. He said this was his “big comeback year” and he dedicated himself to putting his music first. He then dropped his track called Dream$ which features a friend of his. This track is one of the first tracks that put Eric on the map.

His track Make a Way was released this year January, which has EricTheOne, Riz and Lil Jay, this track took them straight to the number one spot on Reverbnations Hip-Hop Charts.

His latest track is called Believe, also a 2016 release is so good that it too went straight to number one on the Reverbnation Chart. And guess what ladies, the music video to this track DROPPED TODAY. Do yourself a favour, if you haven’t watched the video yet, then you need to minimise this and check it out! The video was  shot at CPUT (Cape Peninsula University of Technology).

Besides killing it on the track, did you know that he can kill it in the kitchen too? Yes ladies, He knows that the way to a girl’s heart is through her tummy. Eric studied at the South Africa Chefs Academy which is in Observatory. How convenient for this guy??? He’ll rap to you real quick while he’s making you an amazing meal too! What more can one ask for?

When it comes to South African talent, locals don’t really support their own. They would rather support someone who lives on the other side of the world, instead of someone who lives right next door. The people  chasing their dreams and that are trying to make it, especially in the music industry in SA, have accepted this fact and even so they still continue to try to gain the support of the locals. Because charity starts at home right?

I asked Eric his thoughts on what he thinks is lacking within the rap scene here in Cape Town and also why he thinks local rappers aren’t making it as big as the rappers in Jo’burg?

The problem is the people’s mind-sets in Cape Town. It’s not a lack of resources, it’s a lack of team work first of all, and then there’s a lack of positivity, a lack of a positive mind-set. Everyone is just egotistic and wants to do their own thing. I’m going to do my thing and you do yours. If you look at all the A-listers in SA as a country, we are talking about AKA, Khuli Chana, Reason, Ricky Rick, Anati- All the big dogs. Where they all are based? In Gauteng. Pretoria. Jozi. Mafikeng. Do you hear about any Capetonians? No you don’t, because they don’t work together. To answer your question, I would just like to reach out to people and tell them to get their minds right. I tell that to everyone that comes to me and that wants to work with me, you have to have the right mind-set. Everyone wants to rap nowadays, so how do you separate the real rappers from everyone else that has a mic in their hands “oh I’m a rapper”? There’s a lot more to it man. Team work makes the dream work and that’s why Jozi is doing well at the end of the day. Cape Town is not a force to be reckoned with at the moment, if everyone can stand together and help each other grow, instead of breaking each other down then I mean we don’t have to chase Jozi. We can knock down Jozi’s doors, they will come to us. So yes, people’s mind-sets because their mind is more powerful than they know. It’s just a choice at the end of the day

Fun Facts about Eric:

· He has an obsession with dogs; he is an absolute animal lover.

· His fav local artist is AKA

· He is such a workaholic

· And ladies this one is for you, he is a hopeless romantic
Something that nobody knows, except me, but now you obvi know too, is that Eric will be turning twenty-one in May this year and you should be on the lookout for a huge event that will be taking place.
So keep your eyes open!

#WCW: Bianca le Grange

So Monday I started off the new segment on my blog with my #MCM and today is the day dedicated to all the women. Yes! It’s #WCW
Today my first ever blog #WCW goes to a lady whom I have adored since I’ve seen her perform for the first time on television. She took part in the very first season of popular singing competition, Idols. Allow me to introduce my #WCW for this week, Bianca le Grange!

Currently living in Cape Town, this beautiful being was born in Kimberly, but grew up in Johannesburg. Bianca completed her schooling at the National School of Arts, where she studied both Classical and Contemporary music.

Since Idols this singer/ actress has 4 albums behind her name. She has also appeared on shows such as Noot vir Noot, Kyk Net, Pasella, Pitstop and Lirieke Raai. She was also a celebrity coach on seasons one and three of Supersterre. She was nominated for a Fleur Du Cap Award for best actress in a musical and won a Naledi Award for best perfomance in a musical.

Her career in the music industry has allowed her to share the stage with amazing international singers such as Beyoncé, Usher and Alicia Keys.

Although we know Bianca as a singer and an actress, there are some things that we do not know about her. Like the fact that she is involved in charity work, that works with disadvantaged children and children with special causes. She has also worked with the Cancer Association of South Africa (Cansa). Her passion for charity work grew from her own struggles and sickness while she was growing up.

Whether you have seen her live or on your tv, we have all witnessed her many different looks. Whether it is her short hair, her long hair, her blonde hair or her red hair, she OWNS whatever look she has at that moment. Can we just take a moment to appreciate the fact that she can pull off ANY look.

One thing we can also say is that Bianca has an infectious smile with a loud personality. Her presence in general, whether its live or on your tv, is amazing and one can say that her personality screams “down-to-earth”. Whoever gets or got to meet her is so lucky.

Fun fact: Bianca says her idol is Alicia Keys because she also sings and she can play the piano and she knows how diffucult doing them simultaneously can be.
